Briana & Joe had plans to hold their January wedding ceremony on a mountaintop, with reception at the Westin Poinsett Hotel in downtown Greenville. Well… Mother Nature, even in the South, sometimes has tricks up her sleeve. When a rare blanket of snow coated the ground the day before the two were to tie the knot, it became clear that a change of scenery was needed for safety and practicality. Luckily, the Westin Poinsett Hotel was able to help accommodate, and became the venue for both their ceremony and reception.

Briana and Joe are fortunately awesome people who know how to roll with the punches, and we enjoyed the surprise snow - even venturing up to the Westin rooftop to take advantage of the wintery wonderland landscape. Those few moments up there exposed in the wind were up there with the coldest moments I’ve ever experienced, but even in their wedding attire, these two showed that love is all you need to weather the storm.
