A woman, wearing a blue floral dress, walking through a wooded field

Hi, I'm Hannah.

let's get to know each other

I fell in love with photography as a means of storytelling. Stories have always been my world - I spent my entire childhood buried in books, lost in fantasy worlds or historical tales.

As I grew up, photography became a way to connect with other people and tell their stories (as well as mine.)

Every time I pick up my camera, I’m grateful to have a part in recording stories that will be told for generations.

When I'm Not SHooting, You can find me...

...out for a long, slow run

...lost in a book (anything from memoir to fantasy)

...sipping my third cup of coffee for the day

...exploring nature, especially with my family

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the beauty of riotous laughter and happy tears, the in-between moments, curating and highlighting the details that are important to you, and never losing sight of the beautiful humans at the center of the wedding story.

VISUAL STYLE

My visual style is informed by my film photography background -- I love a shallow depth of field (soft backgrounds), and editing that will stand the test of time, with accurate skin tones and consistent lighting.  A bright, sundrenched shot or a mysterious, shadow filled image can both be appropriate from time to time - I'm always trying to honor the spirit of your vision while representing your event, and its unique point of view, faithfully.

APPROACH

The art of wedding photography is a dance between curation and observation. While I may style a flat lay, guide you into the dreamiest light before you step into your dress, or offer some gentle direction during portraits to help you look comfortable, relaxed, and your best -- I believe your wedding day shouldn't primarily feel like a photoshoot.  During sacred moments, whether it's a first look with your father or walking down the aisle, I aim to fade into the background, all without missing a thing.

Love Notes From My Clients

Sofi & Peter

“Hiring Hannah was the best decision we made for our wedding. She is an absolute dream to work with, and it definitely helps that her photography is gorgeous. She is also super easy to work with, professional, flexible, and very responsive to any emails or questions. She was very relaxed and calming during the actual day of the wedding, which is exactly what we needed. I would recommend her to anyone. Seriously. Hire her!”

Good photography is visual storytelling, and weddings are my favorite stories - there’s so much richness to the narrative.

They’re about the people getting married, but they’re also about you as individuals, your families, your friends, and all the loved ones who got you to this day.

I'm here to capture your story so you can retell it for a lifetime.
