While I've had the pleasure of photographing weddings all around the Southeast - and many spots in my native South Carolina are destination wedding sites that draw couples from around the country - this was my first chance to capture the beauty of New England (and Maine has been on my travel wishlist for some time!)
Connor and Dan originally met in Portland, Maine, so nearby Bridgton was the perfect spot to start the next chapter of their lives together. Tarry a While Inn was the sweetest backdrop for this beautiful day - I loved all of the different spaces it offered, from the historic house where Connor got ready, to the ceremony site down by the water with the tallest pines I've ever seen, to the terrace with beautiful mountain views that held the reception. This place was absolutely stunning.
A few details not to miss from this wedding: The very dapper groomsdog; Connor's amazing removable trailing sleeves; the polaroid guestbook; the reception dress change including bridal crocs; and the couple and their guests dancing the night away, even as the rain began to set in - it didn't dampen the mood at all!
Connor and Dan - thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day, and for the chance to explore Maine! Wishing you all the best in your life together.
